IF CATS COULD VOTE WE WOULDN’T BE IN THIS MESS
Today is the first day of early voting in Texas for the 2018 mid-term election.
I will be 63 on November 14th.
I voted for:
Affordable and quality health care;
More funding for public schools;
Slashing student debt;
Protecting Social Security and Medicare;
Protecting the environment;
Creating jobs with wind and solar power farms;
Equal rights for all;
Women’s reproductive rights;
Immigration reform, including protecting Dreamers;
Sensible gun reform;
Abolishing Citizens United;
Improvements to the infrastructure;
Raising the minimum wage;
Reversing tax cuts for the top one percent and corporations;
Balancing the budget and reducing the deficit;
Improving relations with our real foreign allies;
Checks and balances on the executive branch of government; and
National security that makes sense.
I’m voting for all these because they will improve not only my life, but the lives of my children and grandchildren. To make these improvements become a real possibility, I voted Democratic.
VOTE!

I voted and then volunteered at my local Democratic headquarters.
